For your consideration are these fantastic Rose of Jericho (Selaginella Lepidophylla), also known as the Resurrection Plant.
They are thought to draw money, luck, abundance, love, and prosperity to the home. I have one in my brick and mortar shop and place a few coins in the dish to enhance its money drawing properties.
When placed in a shallow dish of water they come to life within hours and "bloom". It is important to let them dry out between waterings or they might rot, otherwise these are nearly impossible to kill. With time, babies will start to grown on the sides and you will be able to divide them.
A neat gift idea is to let them bloom and then put in a small crystal or other small item in the heart of the plant. Then you let the plant dry out again and the leaves will curl up around the item you placed, being a wonderfully unique, and completely natural, alternative to wrapping paper.
