For your consideration is this gorgeous Cacoxenite sphere straight from the mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Also known as the Melody Stone or a Super Seven Stone, this crystal is a combination of Cacoxenite, Amethyst, Smokey Quartz, Clear Quartz with Rutile, Goethite, and Lepidocrocite. The trapiche "eye" has deep clarity and if held at the right angle it allows light into the stone and will refract it in a way that illuminates the eye in red-violet. Its really fun to shine lasers into these ;) and this one is a near perfect trapiche. It weighs 480 grams (1.06 pounds) and measures approximately 2.75 inches in diameter. This one had a partial gap in the cleavage around the eye that has been filled with jewelers resin (please see last photo).

This slab is rather thick (about 1/2 an inch) and has part of the termination that has a few scattered Trigonic Record Keepers.
